Trainings / Workshops
„A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.“
This proverb can also be applied to your company. Your company can only comply with data protection regulations if your employees are sufficiently sensitized. According to Article 39 (1) (b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), one of the tasks of the data protection officer is to communicate the importance of working with personal data and the legal requirements to the responsible employees.
In our training courses and workshops, we help your employees to develop an awareness of possible dangers and to learn how to act correctly in a respective case. A comprehensive understanding of the topic of data protection by your employees is very important, especially for you as an employer. If a breach occurs, the managing director is usually legally responsible. This is especially the case when it later transpires that the employees were not adequately sensitized and trained. In addition to a significant fine, this can also result in an enormous damage to the company’s image. Training your employees is therefore a must. This is the only way to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
FX Data offers trainings for company employees as well as individual consulting. We train your employees who deal with personal data in the fulfillment of their duties as well as your designated internal data protection officer. The training courses can be booked by all companies, even if we are not designated as the data protection officer.
We regularly hold face-to-face training sessions at our premises for up to eight participants each. If the demand is greater, we can also hold the training on-site at your company. In addition, training courses can also be booked as webinars. All participants receive a certificate of attendance.
Our approach ensures that the training effort can be individually adapted to the needs of your company and your employees.
The standard training is divided into four topic blocks:
Modul A: Basics of data protection
Scope and regulatory content of the GDPR; basic terms; personal data; processing operations; basic principles of data processing (data minimization, purpose limitation, etc.); legal basis; sanctions in case of violations. |
Module B: Customer and employee data protection
Legal basis of specific processing operations; data subject rights; processes for handling data subject inquiries; information obligations |
Module C: Data protection in the field of marketing
Legal bases of data processing in the marketing sector; focus: consent; advertising objection; concrete forms of advertising and application examples (e.g., e-mail marketing, social media, cookies, postal advertising) |
Module D: Data protection in the company
Basic principles of data security; technical and organizational measures; privacy by design and default; documentation and accountability obligations; function of the data protection officer; data leaks; data transfer to third parties; joint controllership |
The training of each module basically takes about 45 to 60 minutes. In addition, there is of course the possibility of further questions.
Depending on the available time frame, either all topic modules can be trained on one day, or the training is divided into several events. However, Module A should always be included in the first event, as it teaches the basics that are required for understanding Blocks B, C and D. In our view, it is also not absolutely necessary for every employee to be present at the training of every module. Rather, it is possible to differentiate which topic is relevant for which employee.
There are various options with regard to the time frame and content, which we will gladly coordinate with you. In our opinion, knowledge transfer is most effective in personal discussions in small to medium-sized groups. This gives your employees the opportunity to ask questions and practical applications can be discussed together.
We will be pleased to arrange with you – also by telephone – which modules are relevant for which employees and how the training could be organized.
